This app enhances how people interact with public art installations and gallery exhibitions throughout Windsor, Ontario. The primary idea is to make art more engaging through the use of QR codes placed on or near artworks. When users scan these QR codes, they can access details about the artwork, the artist. It’s designed to foster a strong connection between users and the arts community, while also promoting events held by local galleries.

The application employs SQLITE, which plays a pivotal role in managing and persisting various essential data sets on the user's device. It stores information regarding the art, enabling users to browse various arts offline. The app ensures a seamless and efficient user experience while managing critical data.

The AWE app’s usability features focus on providing a seamless, user-friendly experience through intuitive navigation, easy account management, and quick QR code scanning for artwork details. It includes an interactive map for locating art, real-time notifications for events, and allows user to attach their art to a piece of physical art.

The AWE app leverages RESTful APIs for seamless communication with the server, enabling efficient retrieval of data and smooth uploads of images and comments. It also integrates GPS and Google Maps to provide users with real-time location tracking and easy navigation to nearby art installations.
